Test-Drive Mission.io as a Faculty

Before you launch with students, run a mission with your faculty. It’s the perfect way to see the platform in action, spark quality team-building, and get everyone excited about what’s possible in the classroom.

Teachers work together during an engaging mission where they are putting their hands together in a united way as they successfully overcome a challenge.
How it Works

Anatomy of a Mission

Every mission follows a clear path: students join, face a high-stakes scenario, investigate evidence, act on their ideas, and see the story unfold.

Students lined up connecting to the lobby of a Mission using a simple four digit code while they sit patiently in their teams.

1. Join the Mission

Students gather into their teams, and log in with a simple code on their Chromebook or tablet.

2. Initiate Briefing

The class is dropped into a high-stakes, standards-aligned crisis scenario that sets the stage.

3. Investigate Evidence

Teams analyze charts, data, and first-hand accounts — sharing information to piece together the bigger picture.

Students engaged in a mission working in teams and collaborating to come up with the best solution.

4. Take Action

Students either choose the best course of action or design a solution, putting their ideas to the test.

5. See the Story Play Out

The mission responds to their choices — success, setbacks, or catastrophic failure depend on how well they worked together.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a school license cost?

Most schools invest $2,400–$5,500 annually, depending on size and goals. We’ll work with you to make sure the license fits your vision, not just your headcount.

What does it cost to run a faculty Mission?

Zero. Zip. Nada. Faculty missions are free — and so is any help you need setting them up. We want more educators to experience this technology so it can reach more students.

What’s included?

Unlimited access to the full Mission.io library (100+ missions, with new ones added every week), kickoff training for faculty, and ongoing support with admin reporting to keep goals on track.

How hard is it to get started?

Not hard at all. Teachers log in, launch a mission with a simple code, and students connect instantly. No complicated setup, no student logins, no endless prep.

What grade levels does this work for?

Our library is aligned to K–8 standards today, but any grade can benefit from the collaboration, problem-solving, and durable skills built into missions.

What technology is required?

To run a successful mission, you need:

  • An Internet-enabled device for every participant (Chromebook, iPad, etc.).
  • A teacher computer connected to a projector or TV (main view screen where the story plays out).
  • An audio system loud enough for participants to hear character dialogue.

No one needs to download anything, and the only one that needs to create an account is the person running it.

That’s it!

What happens if we need help?

We’ve got you. Between the built-in training library, live chat support, and ongoing admin check-ins, you’re never flying solo. And you won't be charged extra just to learn how to use the thing you already bought. Just ask.
